And the writer does something called "Five Minute Friday." She gives a one word prompt, and then you write for a full 5 minutes. You don't overthink, you don't look back and no editing. You must post everything you wrote, all that came out-the way it is. You let it flow, and let it out.
I found this idea thrilling, challenging and to be honest, a little scary. But I am so looking forward to it...so here's my first one.
And the word today is: 'She'.
Start
She is clothed in strength. She knows this is her title, this is her birthright. She knows that is what the goal is, and what can be hers.
But tonight, she is crying. Her heart is weeping. She doesn’t know where she’s at. She is needing an answer. A Savior. She has one, but she needs Him to come again tonight. Oh please, Lord.
There are things going on, things she can be honest with only a few trusted few. If only people knew of the struggle. They could pray and come along aside.
but that is not where the Lord had her. She needed Him, and Him alone, and He loved that.
She is in need of courage, and strength. She needs guidance and love, patience and care. He offers all that. Tonight she needs to claim it, desires to claim it. she doesn’t know what is taking her soul so long. It should not be this difficult.
Oh, but the things she is learning along the way.
He is faithful.
He is good, and kind and so very patient.
He is with her.
Her eyes weep with deep tears, when she sees Him beside her.
She longs for the day where she may see Him face to face. And she can see the way He listens.
The way she knows.
She can tell of His care.
The way she knows.
She can see Him, in His glory, with her own eyes.
The way she knows.
She can’t wait for the day.
But for tonight, there are troubles, and there is hardship.
She can take it.
He is greater.
